INTRODUCTION – JOAKIM VALENTIN

In this post I just want to tell you a little bit about myself and my fitness journey.

My name is Joakim Valentin, I’m 22 years old and I live in Norway. I’ve had two open heart surgeries and my biggest passion is fitness.

This blog’s purpose is going to be providing information, motivation and hopefully some inspiration. I want to provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to get in shape and live a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle, and at the same time bring you along on my own fitness journey. I will be posting both informational articles about anything fitness related, and posts about my own training, nutrition and approach to fitness in general.


I haven’t always taken care of my health and my body.
I used to be all about partying and junk food.
An unhealthy Lifestyle doesn’t just effect your body, it effects your mental health as well. I was insecure and constantly feeling depressed about my body and appearance, and it came to a point where i couldn’t take it anymore.

I had always been into working out and I always wanted to have a well developed and muscular body, but I didn’t have any idea how to get there. I have spent countless hours in the gym without any results. That’s because i didn’t have the knowledge i needed, i didn’t know what to eat and how to train.
One day I stepped on the scale and realized my weight had passed the 100kg mark, this was not the good type of weight.

At first I got frustrated and angry, then i decided it was time to make a change.
I spent countless hours reading articles and watching informational videos on how to lose weight, build muscle, what to eat and what not to eat. I educated myself as much as I could on the topic, and i put my knowledge into action.

With this blog I want to share with you everything I have learned so far, and everything I learn along the way, so that you also can get the knowledge and information you need to reach your fitness goals.

  1. I am a 30 + year old man, starting my journey into fitness. I want to get cut. I have lost 14 pounds in 6 weeks. I look forward to your tips , and I have already posted my progression, but I am just getting started. I want to be proud of myself. I dont want to bulk up, since I am short, but I definitely want to get lean and defined.
